Qualifications

Physician holding a full, active, unencumbered license under Ch. 458 (MD) or 459 (DO) — Fla. Stat. § 458.3265(1)(b).

Duties the rule assigns

  • Physically practice at that specific registered clinic location (§458.3265(1)(b))
  • File quarterly adverse-incident reports with the Board of Medicine (§458.3265)
  • Operate the clinic's quality-assurance/incident-monitoring program
  • Ensure DOH inspections (which include patient-record compliance review) can proceed
  • Supervise controlled-substance disposition if the clinic's registration is revoked

Notes

Registered pain-management clinics only (Fla. Stat. § 458.3265) — a separate, narrower statute than the general Health Care Clinic Act director role above; losing this physician triggers mandatory 10-day notice and can summarily suspend the clinic's registration.
