Notable absence, not an oversight: Louisiana's nursing-facility licensing regulation (LAC 48:I, Ch. 97, Subchapter B — Delivery of Services, Administration, and Personnel sections) imposes no facility-level 'medical director' designation, and the Adult Residential Care Provider chapter (LAC 48:I, Ch. 68) likewise has no section naming a physician/medical-director oversight role. A federal medical-director requirement (42 CFR § 483.75(i)) still applies separately to any Louisiana nursing facility that is Medicare/Medicaid certified — this entry addresses only Louisiana's own state licensure text.
